How values are calculated

True SAB Values is built to be the most accurate Steal a Brainrot value calculator available, by grounding every price in real market activity instead of a fixed guess that never updates.

1. Real listings come first

Every value here is calculated primarily from real public marketplace listings — actual prices real sellers listed a brainrot for, for that exact combination of item, mutation, and traits. When that exact combination has been observed for sale, that real data is used directly instead of a formula or a guess.

2. A growing history, not a snapshot

Market data is collected continuously and stored as a running history, not a single number that goes stale. The more real listings collected for a combination, the more confident the displayed value becomes. Older listings still matter, but recent listings are weighted more heavily — if the market genuinely shifts (an update, a buff, a rarity change), recent prices take priority over outdated ones instead of being averaged away.

3. Verified data over estimates, always

When an exact combination hasn't been observed for sale yet, the calculator looks for the closest real evidence available — the same brainrot with a similar mutation or trait combination, or comparable brainrots of similar rarity and demand — rather than applying one generic multiplier to everything. A plain formula-based estimate is only ever used as a last resort, when no relevant real market evidence exists at all, and it's always clearly labeled as such.

4. Confidence, shown honestly

Every value carries a confidence label so you know exactly how trustworthy it is:

Stable Backed by a healthy amount of recent real listing history.
Moderate Backed by some real listing history, but not a lot yet.
Unstable Little to no real listing history for this exact combination yet — treat as a rough estimate.

A confidence label reflects how much real data this calculator has collected so far for that specific combination — not how rare or common the item actually is in the marketplace. An "Unstable" label just means we haven't gathered enough real listings for it yet.

5. Sourcing

Values are calculated using data gathered from multiple public marketplace sources, cross-checked against each other so no single site's pricing bias sneaks in unchecked. Bulk/unit pricing, thin seller histories, and other low-quality signals are filtered out before a listing is trusted.

6. Always improving

This is a living system, not a static list. As more real market data is collected over time, coverage and accuracy keep improving — combinations that show "Unstable" today can graduate to "Moderate" or "Stable" as real evidence comes in, with no manual overhaul required.
